The instruments available through Global Securities Company fall into two groups: instruments of regulated markets, executed inside an exchange, and instruments of unregulated foreign exchanges, executed over the counter through liquidity providers.
Available instruments
Regulated market instruments
- Palestine Exchange equities — through the Shamel platform.
- Regional and US equities — through the GTN platform.
- Bonds — corporate and government bonds listed on the markets we provide access to; orders are executed through our dealing desk, subject to availability in the market.
- Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) — funds listed on the markets we provide access to, whose units trade on the exchange like shares, subject to availability in each market.
Unregulated foreign exchange instruments
Traded through MetaTrader 5, covering currency pairs, metals, indices and energy. Trading days, each group’s session and its daily break are published on the Global forex sessions page.
Contract specifications
The tables below show each symbol’s specification on MetaTrader 5: minimum and typical spread, pip value, minimum and maximum trade size, and the minimum distance allowed between the current price and a pending order. Spreads are variable, not fixed, and widen in volatile conditions and around economic releases.
Full instrument list
Instruments are organised into groups — click a group to see the instruments inside it. Or search by symbol or name, and pick an account type from the tabs above to see the matching trading cost.
Commission is charged per full lot and pro-rated below that; “markup” is an addition to the spread, measured in ticks. These are execution specifications on MetaTrader 5 — the contract specifications window inside the platform is the definitive reference.
What these fields mean
- Spread — the difference between the bid and ask price; the cost of entering a trade.
- Pip value — what you gain or lose when the price moves one pip on a full lot.
- Min / max lot — the size limits of a single order, in lots.
- Min order distance — the minimum distance in points between the current price and a pending order or stop loss.
- Tick value — the value of the smallest price movement on the index.
The list covers the most traded instruments; the specification of each individual instrument is shown inside the platform in the “contract specification” window, which is the definitive reference.
Leverage and tiering
Leverage allows trading in sizes larger than the capital deposited. It magnifies risk as much as it magnifies potential profit — it is not in itself a means of making money. The higher the leverage, the higher the level of risk and the likelihood of loss.
The company therefore grants leverage in stages, according to the client’s experience, trading behaviour and financial position, in line with the requirements of the Palestine Capital Market Authority and the principles of responsible trading:
| Stage | Leverage | Client category | Risk level | Objective |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Stage one | 1:100 | Beginner or limited experience | Low | Understanding the market in a safe environment and building experience |
| Stage two | 1:200 | Intermediate — 200 closed trades including profitable ones | Medium | Strict adherence to risk management without exceeding limits |
| Stage three | 1:300 | Experienced — 300 or more closed trades including profitable ones | High | Higher return with stop losses and consistent caution |
These stages apply to all account types and cover currency trading, CFDs, indices, commodities and any margin-based product.
Granting any stage is at the company’s discretion and is not an acquired right of the client. The company may amend, reduce or decline any level of leverage where it considers this serves the protection of the client or the integrity of the market. Leverage may not be used to recover losses.
The leverage level is assessed at account opening through a form covering how long you have traded, the instruments you have traded before, your familiarity with leverage, the size of the account allocated to trading, whether you place stop losses, and your trading style and objective.
Before opening a position
- Swap rates on positions held to the next day.
- Contract expiry dates for futures.
- Market holidays.
Each contract’s specification — contract size, minimum price movement, minimum and maximum trade size and margin requirements — is shown in the MetaTrader 5 “contract specification” window for that instrument, and is the definitive reference because it changes with market conditions.
Disclaimer: The figures and dates on this page are indicative and subject to change without notice; they move with market conditions, exchange and liquidity-provider decisions and daylight saving. The definitive reference is what appears inside the trading platform in the “contract specification” window for each instrument at the moment of execution. This page is neither an offer nor a recommendation, and trading carries risk that may lead to the partial or total loss of capital — please read the Risk Statement.
